AS IS - HEAVY BIG POP
17 tracks (14 from the studio and 3 live in rehearsal) from James and chums (including 'Tree' contributors Paul Read and Steven Mears) from 1988-89. The original master tapes have suffered a bit over the years but the digital age has allowed a bit of repair, after the tapes had been baked in an oven for two days (that bit really is true). |

DANIEL MARTIN - 'COMING TO TERMS WITH THE PAST' This is in fact a solo album from James, circa 1993, only now seeing the light of day. |

GODS KITCHEN - 'SOUTH OF SOMEWHERE' Gods Kitchen is one of Shane & Gibb's many other bands, and this is a 20-track power-pop stonker which encompasses most of their extraordinary work from 1991-2001. |

AS IS (mk 2) - 'WHERE FOUR SEAS MEET' This band was Shane and James's first major collaboration, with young bucks Malcolm Hawkes and Ross Geraghty. The material is from 1989 & 1990, and covers a variety of styles while majoring on something we used to call 'Loud Love Songs'(!). There was a 12" single at one point and all the songs from that session are on here along with many others, with twenty-one tracks in total. |

PARTRIDGE-READ - 'BRIGHTER' From 1990 - 1993, James collaborated with drummer Paul Read (who had previously been the drummer in As Is mk. 1). They spent a lot of time in a caravan in rural Suffolk making these songs. This CD features material from 1990-1991. Nineteen tracks drawn from a wide range of influences. |

PARTRIDGE-READ - SWELL' Further P-R stuff, dated 1991-1993, fourteen tracks ranging from the haunting to the downright noisy and desperate. |

BANE - 'WHAT HAPPENS NEXT...' James's first outing as a singer, in a three-piece band that knew no musical boundaries but preferred mainly to stick to a kind of post-punk folky-ness with some jaunty pop tunes in there for good measure. Twenty-four tunes from 1985. |

PANORAMA IN BLACK - 'GOING FOR A SONG' (2 CDs) A gut-wrenchingly raw double CD, mostly recorded live in concert in 1984, but with some extra studio bits and live oddments added as well. James played guitar in Panorama In Black and wrote the odd song or two. This is raunchy, dirty, unrefined acid-punk, along the lines of The Stooges, Killing Joke, The Sex Pistols and MC5...but faster, recorded in ultra lo-fi on a very sweaty night in Ipswich. Thirty tracks of mayhem for seven quid. |

PHOEBE
PARTRIDGE - 'TALK ABOUT THE WEATHER'
James' niece Phoebe's debut CD, a crisp, sprightly acoustic jazz masterpiece. You can listen to bits of it and buy it via The Pindrop Club website here - http://www.pindropmusic.co.uk/. |
