The last songwriters circle in July 2011 was a massive hit with everybody here, the format made for a splendid and unique night; so it seemed appropriate to run another!

Alex Berger will once again take charge of proceedings onstage, having brought with him the excellent Martin Rivas from New York City. You may have seen Martin opening for Kim Richey here back in July.

Emily Baker is a Brighton resident with a great voice, a wicked sense of humour and neat, Americana-influenced songs.

Dan Wilde is a Blackpool boy but has recently relocated to Cambridge and is making serious waves on the acoustic music circuit.

You will remember Simon Lewis‘ excellent cello playing from the previous circle; he is in a band called Adrian Roye & the Exiles and he is bringing Adrian from London with him this time.

Raevennan Husbandes completes the line-up. Her haunting, pure voice drifts across ambient guitar figures which sound like they’ve been inspired by the sea of her Suffolk home. There is a sense of burgeoning greatness in all that she does, and she sits aloft, the cherry on this evenings’ cake, which is already groaning with goodness. Don’t miss this gig.
